“I need advice”: Our Advisory Service for Surgical Assistants

Starting to Surgically Assist?

When thinking of starting to surgically assist, you may realise that the business of medicine was not something they covered in medschool.

In fact, very little time in our training, either at basic or advanced levels, is dedicated to how to run our own practice or the business of medicine.

There are a number of courses on practice management run from a “owning a practice” point of view – but often, they are geared for General Practices or Specialists – and worse, few are run by people who have owned, or let alone, are experienced in running a practice. Few fellow doctors open up their business and teach other doctors to set up a business.

There is a better way.

Navigate your way through the challenging maze of compliance, people and processes and run your own practice.

For Surgical Assistants

We offer three tiers of subscriptions for Assistants:

1. Experts
2. Certified and
3. Casual

Experts have screened by Periop Partners, with verification of their qualification and are typically SET or ex-SET trainees, experienced unaccredited assistants or long-term career assistants. Experts receive the lists first and have priority access to high-value lists…

How it Works

It’s easy and quick. Sign up as a practice or a Surgical Assistant. We’ll ask you for a few easy details, such as the specialty and the hospitals you operate from.

Post a job, or browse the existing jobs.

Surgical Assistants will receive notification via email and/or SMS, based on urgency.

When any Surgical Assistant responds, the Mobiliyo system will handle responses in the order of suitability.

You can also add your own list of Assistants under “Favourites” and let the system handle responses.
